I have been using the floral luxury changing mat/bag from you, it has been so useful. I took it into hospital and it was great I kept it at the side of the bed so I could grab it and change my baby without having to locate 5 different things. I loved the 2 generous pockets on either side of the changing mat I could fit all the essentials in them. Can i just say to any mum who is reading tgis.this changing bag is a must buy.i won one in a mabyland competition and havent looked back.its small and compact so it doesnt take to much room.its hold enough nappies to last a day and a pack of wipes.it also has a pillow so its comfortable for your baby.its very trendy to! Initial thoughts was good idea for breastfeeding mums for quick trips but a bit small as although you don’t need to take bottle you may still need to take change of clothes, toys etc. Not much to the packaging, therefore not much rubbish to get rid of. The changing mat is the perfect size and shape for a young baby and it looks nice and padded. Not really practical as I still needed to take a changing bag for extra bits e.g. toys so it was an extra thing to carry. The changing mat wipes clean no problems and was of good quality. Most changing bags include a changing mat and I don’t think this is a substitute for a changing bag so would end up buying both. It does not hold a change of clothes and it is not practical to carry round, I have found it useful as a spare in the house as it folds up small - it does not take up much space. I wouldn’t recommend it purely because it’s not that practical. My overall experience is, it is pretty and well made but for us it is not practical enough and just meant an extra thing to carry. First impressions were, lovely design, and looked great. The packaging was fine, the product arrived in perfect condition so did the job. Perfect size for baby, and I also use it for my 2 year old when needed without a problem. Folded up size is fine for carrying about and the size is ideal for hanging on the pushchair handles. It looks very comfortable for a travel changing mat, and the pillow adds an extra bit of comfort. Would be happy for Isla to lie on this to play while for e.g. at a friends house. It’s practical and easy to carry around. It has a nice long strap so you can sling it over your shoulder easily. It’s easy to wipe clean and keep hygienic and the colour/pattern doesn’t seem to show the dirt. It’s well made, and is wearing well. It also looks good quality and expensive! Not sure I could justify spending this much money on a changing mat, considering that you might also buy another bag to put your other baby bits e.g. bottles/spare clothes etc in. I wouldn’t consider buying it but only because of the price. It’s definitely a nice to have product, I would otherwise have made do with a much more basic travel changing mat. However, I have recommended it to friends but at the same time I have warned them that it’s not cheap! Overall, I love this changing mat. It’s a really comfortable mat to change your baby on and the side pockets inside mean that you have the nappies and wipes etc to hand, and the pockets are an ideal size to hold these things. It also looks great and wherever I take it, I get comments from other mums on how lovely it is, some have shown interest in buying it. It also looks really good quality and makes me feel like a yummy mummy! The main down side is really the price - I would say it’s a little on the expensive side for what it is but if you do want to treat yourself then its fine. The other main thing to think about before buying this product is do you want a separate travel changing mat/bag? – on the one hand I love the idea because it means that I’ve been able to use my normal shoulder bag for my other stuff, rather than having to cart round a huge, heavy and perhaps not so nice looking baby bag. On the other hand, you do always have to remember to take 2 bags with you when you go out, which is sometimes something of a challenge when suffering from tiredness and baby brain! I did forget to take it with me once and Isla did have a dirty nappy while out – it meant that I didn’t have a single nappy or wipe on me so she had to sit in a dirty nappy all the way home unfortunately. Of course, this wouldn’t have happened if you had just the one bag with everything in. On balance, though, I wouldn’t swap the product for the world now I’ve got it – its way more comfortable for the baby than any of the other travel changing mats I’ve had that fit in a baby bag and it looks fantastic. My initial impression was colourful, compact, useable, and very nice indeed. It was bright, colourful, easy to clean/wipe down and a very contemporary design. It was a good size overall, wide enough to fit all children, even my 20 month old. It’s well padded in the base of the mat which provides comfort and support where ever you are. The little pillow is beautifully soft too. It’s also very easy to use out and about as it had a great adjustable shoulder strap which made it easy to carry or hang on the pushchair. There are 2 webbed pockets inside which fit wipes and enough nappies for a whole day without adding any bulk - great for a single child. The mat is very easy to clean. The whole of the outside is wipe-clean and the inside cleaned with a damp cloth, to take off any little accidents! It’s a great quality bag! It offers great value for money. It’s quick, easy to use and very portable. If I didn’t already have an older child still in nappies I would consider buying the bag. I would certainly recommend it to my family and friends. It is designed for use as a changing mat, though this is nothing like the ones included with most changing bags. The bag opens up into a lovely, large mat – 70cm long and 33cm wide (not including pockets) – big enough for a growing baby; in fact, you would still be able to use it for a toddler. It even has a pillow in one of the pockets that you can Velcro to the top of the mat for added comfort. My six month old baby always looked very comfortable and didn’t come off the mat if he rolled to the side!
As a breastfeeding mother I find that I don’t often need to take a large changing bag out with me, though I still like to take a change of clothes for my baby, as well as the usual nappies, wipes and nappy cream. So, it was with some trepidation that I packed the MaByLand bag for the first time. There are two large pockets that fold out from the bag, and the pillow is located in one these. In the other pocket I packed 3 nappies, a half-full packet of wipes and the nappy cream, and then put a clean vest, babygro, bib and a muslin cloth in the pocket with the pillow. I thought the bag was going to look very bulky, but I folded it up (the pockets fold in and attach by Velcro) and was amazed to see that the bag still looked really slim and stylish. I was smitten from that moment and the bag has been everywhere with us since – from trips to the park, to birthday parties, to baby group. In fact, I just love carrying it around. I always feel super stylish when I swing it over my shoulder. The style is very smart, the design is lovely and bold, and the quality of the material is really high (and wipe-clean so no worries with those little accidents).
I regularly use a baby carrier instead of a pushchair and found that I can also carry this changing mat bag easily as it’s so lightweight. The straps can be adjusted or even detached if you want to put it inside an existing bag.
I really love using this changing mat bag as it really is a bag as well as a changing mat. I had lots of positive comments from other mums as it really does stand out in a crowd!
The only thing I feel the bag was lacking was a space to put my own belongings. I would have loved an exterior zipped compartment where I could have put my mobile phone and some money so that I wouldn’t have needed to take my own bag. But otherwise, this bag is perfect. (Posted on 06/06/2011)
